Multiplex MovieStar: Not in the US
The following is an e-mail I received from someone at hitecrcd (US distributor for Multiplex)
Those who want one are going to have to pay the $50 to $60 that retailers in the UK want for shipping.
Sorry Ken,
I don't expect to have the Movie Star available in the USA any time in
the foreseeable future.

Subject: Multiplex Moviestar
Is the Multiplex Moviestar still being made. NONE of the retailers
listed on the web page (http://www.multiplexusa.com/WTB_files/wtb.htm)
carry the Moviestar. It is not a question of being out of stock, it
doesn't exist (as far as those retailers are concerned). I have found it
at a British retailer (http://www.modelspot.com/mpx/movie.htm), but I
really don't want to pay $55 for shipping! If it will be available in
the US again, when?

RE: Multiplex MovieStar: Not in the US
I had been doing some research out of curiosity. I don't know a lot about the Wingo (which was suggested above as a substitute for the movie star), but there are several uses of the Movie Star you can find on the web where it carrying a lot of payload. There is even a guy in Northern Europe who has GPS and an FMA co-pilot on his.
I am still getting good with my first glow powered airplane. I would like to develop a better video platform, but that is a ways down the road for me. If you really have to have a Movie Star there are a couple vendors in the UK that sell it. However, they will charge $40- $50 in shipping.

RE: Multiplex MovieStar: Not in the US
Ive seen the sites of those that use the MovieStar. That's what got me looking for one. I have an email in to Multiplex. We'll see what they say. I'd like to have a .60+ size of something like the MovieStar so I could carry an actual MiniDV camera and/or outfit it with my 5 megapixel Sony still camera.
Thanks!
Thanks!
