Im looking to pick a new Spektrum DX7(airplane version) within the month and want to know which website has the best price or sale. So far the best deal I found was on Advantage Hobby, the price is $349.99 with a 5% discount for new customers. After the 5% off it comes out to 332.49 with free shipping. Can anyone top this deal. Thanks

You're not going to find a whole lot of variation in the price of these radios. Horizon makes the dealers stick to a pretty tight price range. If you have a really good relationship with your LHS owner, you could possibly get a better deal. Otherwise, I'd go with that one, as it sounds like a good price.
I got mine for 330 from LHS, but that was one of the good ol' boy prices...

You can try to find one on ebay without servos - sometimes people break up the kits and sell off the pieces

Ebay had 30% cashback up until last night with Live.com.... you could have bought it for $350 and in 60 days gotten back $105 making it 245. I did this 2 months ago when the promotion was on and I bought 3 of them. sold 2 and got 300 in cashback.... only ended paying I think 50 for my DX7 package (this is not illegal, ebay specifically states that they don't care what you do with your items bought).

Cashback is now 20%

Im suprised they have this on thier site for this price. The lowest ADVERTISED price is $349.Wonder how they do that.

I could sell this in my store for $319 but not sure the cost of shipping this item. That is if its done in store with cash so i dont have all the Credit card processing fees. But anything around $330 is a great price shipped.

They get away with this because the price only shows up after you add it to your "cart" to purchase, so it's not an "advertised" price. HeliProz.com does the same thing on their website to get around MAP pricing.

Yes, A couple months ago EVERYTHING in the hobby business was cheaper. Prices have been on the rise. See if they still have them at that price. I would be very suprised if they STILL do. If so thats a great deal.

Those screen captures of the prices were made 2 minutes before I posted them on Oct. 6th.

I've noticed Horizon's ARF prices rising dramatically, but haven't noticed any increase in radio equipment prices. I wouldn't be surprised, though.

That doesn't include shipping. The total is $325.80 including shipping for me here in PA. Ultimate's price of $324.95 includes shipping (free on orders over $150).

Dont rule out the heli version. I was able to pick one up for $20 less than the airplane version. The heli version will work just fine for planes. I dont own any helis. I believe the difference is 1 more switch on the heli version or it has a 3way toggle?? I dont recall. All of our club members that I have seen using a DX7 are running the heli version. All you have to do to get it to work with planes is switch to acro rather than heli and your on your way to setup. Its a fantastic radio. All my planes are being switched over to 2.4.
