RE: Electric retacts
I've been considering doing the same given the ease of instalation of this new type of retract. I just bought a set of E-flight retracts for a small EDF and they look to be of pretty good quality. I have heard however that they don't hold up tot the vibration of a glow engine. The pattern plane that I was think about using them on has a YS 140 on it so I'll be following this thread with great interest.
Thanks,
paul

RE: Electric retacts
I installed a set of the large 60-120 sized in a Pica FW 190 I have. I was not really happy. The first day at the field, one of the little micro limit switchs inside the retract, was destroyed by the vibration of my engine. I am of the opinion that when they say electric retracts, this means electric powered aircraft as well. I would save your money and just spend it on Robarts.
