Well you have to have a motorcycle to pass the final motorcycle driving exam or you can rent one but for scooter you just have a 37 question multiple choice test. I guess you could do the final motorcycle test on this bike since its kind of in a grey zone.

Ah the Yamaha DT.
Brings back memories from my moped days.
All the cool kids had one (Not me however [

Back then, in Sweden where I grew up, you could ride a moped when you were 15.
No need for license or registration, but you could only do 30km/h (18.6mph) legally.
Of course we all fiddled with them to make them go faster.
They were 50cc after all, so the power was there.
Only thing cooler than the DT was the Yamaha Yankee with its chopper-ish appearance.
Other popular choices were the Honda MT and Zundapp KS.
I had a Sachs [forget the exact model] which I had modified to look like a dirt bike.
Or so I thought at the time anyway haha.
Raised the front guard off the wheel and made a straight rear guard from some old plastic drain pipe cut in half
I had that thing doing close to 70 (43.5mph) when it was in its prime.
These days there are different regulations apparently and you can either go 30km/h as before or 45 (27.9 mph) with license and registration.
Wow, digging out these old photos was a laugh.
That cold garage, it's winter and I'm crawling around on the floor trying to work with frozen fingers.
Note the red heater behind the powerdrill....
The floodlight gave off a bit of heat too.

I like how you modded that bike DVP, I would have loved having that at 15.
So I picked it up last sunday, 3 hours drive each way plus pit stops, 8 hours total. Its in great condition. The tank WAS in perfect condition until about 5 minutes after it was officially mine... It tipped over in the back of the pick up and smacked the tank, couple minor dents but the paint cracked in 2 places so yeah... Not happy about that but I'll get it fixed.
I've been taking it out each night for longer and farther trips each time. Tomorrow I'll take it out in daytime traffic for the first time. Im a city guy who always got around with a bicycle or city bus so merging with traffic is new to me. I'm feeling very comfortable with it now, my take offs are not jerky anymore and no more stalling lol.
I would post a few more pics but RCU not letting me ATM.
