As Fogerty penned, "Looks like you're in for nasty weather. There's a bad moon on the rise."[:'(]
Rest of the week looks fantastic though. Have a blast!

Yep, bad weather shut down the flightline around 3 this afternoon. Most everybody hung out in tents, trailers, and vehicles hoping that the storm would pass and flying would continue, but that just didn't work out that way. Around 5 everybody pretty much was giving up for the day. Well, actually almost eveybody. Pablo was flying a foam plane doing 3D in while standing under the tent to stay out of the light rain!!
The A-10 took off and start pulling to the right. It was pretty clear that it was in trouble. It passed over the top of the tent area behind the fencing and then as it was over the pavement area it stalled, dropped the right wing, and went down. Unfortunately I had my still camera in my hand at the time it went down, and the tent blocked my view so I couldn't get a shot of it.
Boli was in the air with his Tucano and he said that he had flames coming out of the tubine. He deadsticked the plane at the far end of the runway. There was a mad dash of golf carts with fire extinguishers rushing down to it as it was sitting at the end of the runway burning. I was actually doing a onboard video filming of another plane and at the end of that planes flight when it stopped on the runway to taxi back you can see Boli's plane coming in over this plane at the end of the runway. But like Boli said, the picture looks worse than it really is. He's already got the turbine and the rest of the damaged parts off the plane ready to start repairing it.

Honestly? The best way is just to attend. Plus you'll see A LOT of amazing airplanes and people.
There is a lot of great stuff happening...come see for yourself.

Hope to be there by no later than noon tomorrow. Fender, the F-4 might just have a for sale sign on it and will be truly RTF.
