Sorry to hear this, good thing he's better now. This is why as much as possible I respect and give space to motorcycles because they have lesser protection... I was also in a similar situation and it's worth to be alive.

I want to thank all my friends and well wishers for their prayers of recovery. God has surly shown His grace and mercy on me. I laid 7 days in the trauma ICU,and for day or so the doctors where
simply doing what they to do in hopes o save my life. I was bleeding out internally through my pelvis and chest, after five units of blood the bleeding stopped.
My blood pressure was in the danger zone most of the first day. Once the doctors stablized my condition my pevis needed to be bolted together.
I'm glad to say I'm well past that and I'm very close to feeling like my old self again. Right now I walk with a walker but that's not for long.
My ribs no longer hurt and are healing nicely. This kind of thing does humble you and helps you to appreciate what God has given you.
The bug to fly is at me I know it wont be long before I can fly again.
I hear the Southwest Jet Fly calling..........

PS I need to groom myself....[8D]

Hi Dave,
It's good to see you are doing better. [8D] I bet those Titanium rods could be used for some nice landing gear struts, or something! I suspect you'll be able to wield an Exacto knife pretty soon - I'll let your boss know!

Get better quick. We'll be expecting you'll be flying at Waco in September!

Yesterday we came out of the orthopedic doctor's office with some good news. Aug. 14 is the day I can start using my right leg again . He will at that time allow me to start walking again. He ok'd crutches so I'm moving away from the walker. So steady as we go.
I'm thankfully looking forward to the Southwest Jet fly and walking to the pilot's box and flying my jet.

First post to this thread, but will keep you in my prayers for a full & speedy recovery....and yes "I do believe". Bikes can be fun, but when all hell breaks loose, the outcome is usually not good. My youngest is living proof, but his outcome was better than yours. Before & after pictures.
