Latest Fokker DR1
Kind of excited and wanted to post some pics of my latest tripe. Has a Quadra 35 for power. I shoehorned it in upright to leave room for a dummy engine, which still needs to be added. Very little trim on maiden. Slight down. I added around +5 incidence on stab, and this seemed to help the down trim issue. Flew great, and the Quadra seems to be a great power choice. I like a mag engine for these. Balanced perfect with most items on the CG. The heavy engine helped. GTM cowl, required engine to move back over 3".

Rambro, I used lightweight dacron fabric from Aircraft spruce. Stuck it down with Sig Stix it, then put several coats of butyrate dope to seal it all off and keep it tight. Glue drops for stitching, and silkspan for tapes, doped on.
The paint is Latex, mixed to my liking at Home depot. I brushed a light streak, then sort of blended these with the airbrush (same color). This gave it depth, and more control over the colors and impression.
I used get stencils for the numbers. Dry transfers and masks. I made the masks for the crosses out of shelf paper. It is tough to mask fabric, but it worked good with e the shelf paper.

Von Tutschek's plane, nice finish. A buddy of mine did one finished like this about 15 years ago, a Ziroli Dr1. Your's looks real nice. Good job and good luck with it.
