A couple of those gentlemen didn't have the discipline, dedication and faith to keep looking forward without looking back at the last second. That shows a lack of trust, and I think they needed to change their underwear later.

I would almost guarantee that's a very clever post production effect. No doubt well executed, including their reactions, etc.

Who the heck would sanction something like that or more importantly, to be filmed? Anyone who did would be sacked as soon as it was seen because there's no upside to the actual risk.
    What, me worry?

it looks like it was shot with a long lens, so I suspect the tank stopped a lot further behind them than it appears...

What Military in the world would take a chance like that. I don't think the Leopard two is for general sale so this must be a military or factory stunt.

Many many practice runs where braking points are pointed on the road and final stopping marks noted. Stand the people 30 ft in front of the line, telephoto lens to warp depth perception, and presto.

    Still cool though

No way theyre 30ft in front of that tank, more than you think but judging by the crew member getting out maybe 3-5m tops

A good 5 m for sure, When the row of people start to disband you can see the space from where they were standing to the front of the tank.

It's Russia, they had 3 teams of voluntaries ready in case the tank did not stop at time. Funny, now that you mention it, one of the teams was never seen again... They must have been promoted...

What I would like to see is the Nations senior politician's standing in a similar fashion with an Abram's or Challenger 2 overdue a major service bearing down on them.
