Default AMA Scale Nats Question

Thinking about going to Muncie for the first time and check out the scale contest. Have you been to the Nats and what tips would you give to someone who will probably be somewhat lost in the area and at the site?

There's a new hotel just a few minutes from HQ

As for the Nats I've never been to them but I've been up there for several events and there is always excellent signage and folks more than willing to help you.

Haven't been myself yet, hope to someday. Here is a link for places to stay if you are there overnight.

https://www.tripadvisor.com/HotelsNe...e_Indiana.html

A link where you can get event schedules;

http://amablog.modelaircraft.org/nat...ates-approved/

I link to prior events where you might get some additional info:

http://www.modelaircraft.org/events/nats/natsnews.aspx

Might also look for threads here, at RCG, and maybe Flying Giants to see if there is additional info. Check the AMA blogs as well, ya never know.

Have fun if you do make it.

I've been, there are good hotels not too far away, including good restaurants.

Be sure to stop in the museum when you go. It is a must see if you go. There is a nice library of nothing but aviation along with seating. Be prepared to spend a few hours there.

Thanks for the kind words about the museum! I'm on the museum committee and can tell you a lot of thought and work goes into that and it's nice to hear feedback like that.

I have to say, I was really impressed with the museum after seeing it in person. Prior to my first visit, I only had the articles/pictures in MA to go on. The pictures don't do it justice. It's really well done.

You are welcome! I really love the finishing touch of the letter at the end. An amazing amount of modeling history under one roof. Great job!

Not sure anyone from the AMA is actively monitoring this forum. Probably best to contact them directly if you're experiencing an error.
