MXS-R 108" 120cc Breitling scheme with Shark winglets
Last year i found a 37% MXS-R , and i bought it immediately .
It takes a long time building it and now i will post all build and mod process .
The guy on the first picture is a friend of mine who sold me the kit .
A lot of mods , new and changeable carbon winglets and Shark Winglets , some 3D printed acessories and finishes and an old DA 100 with just 4 take off done , really new !
I hope all of you can enjoy it ...

So lets start with the Shark Fin Carbon winglets , the first and most dificult mod.
First i thought that the right shape and design is the most important thing to discover , so reading a lot of information i start to email Dr Mark Maughmer ,Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, who designed the shape , after this , Airboss had made the full design and Composites Universal in Oregon who made moulds and components.
It was very difficult to got answers and a really hard work , but finaly i got some drawings and dimensions to make it really 37% scale .
And we start the design ...

So we remove the original balsa winglets and start making some structure to instal interchangeables winglets , the original and the shark fin one .
An awesome model builder from Brasil Anderson "Betão" Marim help me making this , he have awesome skilss with wood and balsa , and Hernani Nascimento was in charge of styrofoam shapping and carbon fiber work .
So they design some little carbon fiber wingtubes using T-Rex 500 tail tubes to make and fit both removable winglets , for carry purposes this is very important.

With this interchangeable winglet system , the steel piano wire, that make surfaces movement , will fit between wing and winglet , solving a wing finishing , building and safety problem ... so if you remove the winglets you can also remove aileron surface easy as you can assemble it again !
