Battery/Engine combo for 3dFoamy
I think i am going to biuld a plane off some plans from the 3d fooamy website
I want to keep it cheap. Wondering what will work. I am not sure how to read some of the stuff of the chart on there website as i am pretty new to electric. Mostly a nitro guy.
Anyway, i would like to keep it under $100 and would like to get it from tower
Thanks

I think you'll have a real hard time keeping it under a hundred bucks. I have a FO Turmoil with the following: Rimfire Brushless outrunner, BL-8 Speed control, RS610UL ( at least I think that's the name of it), and 3 NES-241 servos. Oh, and a Electrifly 3S LiPo at 640 mah. That setup is awsome, but the cost's are about: $50, $35, ~$50 ( can't get this on tower, but the have GWS ones that will work for like half the price), and the servos, last time I checked were about $20 a peice, I got mine with my 6102. Now, if all you need is a motor and battery, then your set right about there, I'm pretty sure the rimfire will power just about any foamy you can throw at it, and the battery that I mentioned earlier is about $30-$40. Then again my slightly bigger plane had a E-Flite Park 370 in it, which is also about 50 bucks, but may actually have just a bit more power than is totally neccesary. Good luck.

RE: Battery/Engine combo for 3dFoamy
You'll have to build a 3DFoamy mini to get a motor and ESC with decent power under $100. To get an entire electronics setup under $100 I don't think is possible.
At $110 from 3DFoamy.com the Hacker A20-20L/ESC combo is about the lowest cost I know of for a nice motor and speed control for a 14oz or so plane.
