46 size P-51d overmotorize
Hi I have 46" size P-51d. I do not know which motor to be used for max performance. The estimated flying weight approx. 4,2-4,7 Kg depending of choice of motor an acc.
The two choice´s would be either a E-flite power 60 400kv outrunner or a E-flite Power 90 325kv outrunner.
The difference in weight are rather small, between these motors and will not affect total weight a lot, It. is merrily the choice of LiPo ac that will.
I also wonder how much power you loose if you run the Power 90 motor with a 5s lipo (18,5 V) instead of the recommended 6s-7s ( 22.5 V>
I´m a novice when it comes to Electric power, all my experience is about nitro methanol engines, an I still have several 0,60-0,90 cui. engines.
Hopefully to get your experience and advises.

I already have two Lipo acc one 5000 mAh 5s 18,5 V, and the other is a 3600 mAh 6s sa well as the two outrunners the Power 60 is approx 1200 watt and the Power 90 1800 watt.
What I realy want to know if, is the 1800 watt outrunner is a "overkill".
