Default love to plane smash

Which plane gave you the best feeling inside when you got to smash it, burn it, step on it, kick it, full bore nose first crash
(on purpose that is), etc...etc...etc...let's hear 'em

I'll start

Carl goldberg's 330 extreme 3d, first I peeled all the covering off and let it fester for a day or so then I took her across my knee and broke it into so many pieces my hands hurt when I was done with it, then I took it to the dump and watched it be crushed by the trash compactor! Hell I might buy another to do it all over again!

I really can't imagine anyone wanting to do that to anything they own.

You might want to take Tom's advice.

Joey, Joey, Joey...
Tsk, tsk, tsk...
I'm not going to insult you like the other two did...
However, if you need a screw driver I have an excellent
assortment to choose from...
Reason I ask, as it is 'plane' you may have a few loose screws ..

Default I disagree

I think he has a very health lack of concern for material possessions, his own. The problem would be if he did it to someone elses' plane.
I have wanted to do that very thing and if I had been able to get it out of the tree, 200 feet out in the lake..................

Joe,

I'll bite. Why? From what I've heard the CG Exteme is a good flyer.

Save yourself the trouble and just burn the $189 that the plane costs. Quicker and more efficient.

I have had planes that I didn't like. If they are really bad, I may do that. If my G-202 doesn't behave, it may meet its demise. Had a really old cub that we set on the bon fire at the float fly one year to give it a propper burial. Would still like to fill one with powder and fly it into a cliff to see how big we can make it explode, but would never try it. My luck it would go when we started it.

Well can't think of any planes that I want to destroy but do engines count? I did have an engine that I wanted to do that to which was the OS 91FX but I sent it in instead to see what Hobby service's will do for me.

Blackie, maybe they will switch it with the one I just sent in and when we get them back, both will run right! I wish!

Joe next time you feel like doing that to one of your planes you can just send it to me instead. I get more enjoyment out of flying 'em.

I have a small trophy over behind me (from here) from a fun-fly that I placed third in with someone else's plane that he hated so much he nosed it into the runway. I went out and gathered the pieces, glued it back together that night, and flew it for years (after making the plane a little straighter). The ones that deserve(?) destruction usually take care of that themselves by going in somehow, no help needed from the pilot.

I had a really troublesome scratch-built 1/3 scale Pitts once. NEVER could get that plane to fly comfortably. After seeing one of my flights(?), this fellow came over and asked if I would sell it, or he could trade his pattern plane for it. It took about .25 seconds to make that decision! I flew the pattern plane for years afterwards (sold it later). The Pitts lived much longer, but finally met it's demise. It NEVER did fly well. These things take care of themselves....

Joey, you have a pretty worrisome fetish.

I'm sure we all had a time or two where we just broke down in a Snoopy tantrum and jumped, kicked, hit, said a few words that the kids should not hear and then had to go have a beer. I had a Tiger 40 ARF that I recently said to hell with it and let it meet Terra Ferma because I could not get a warp out of the wing. I know, I could have gotten a new wing, but this was the third attempt and I felt better to just build a new one from scratch and use the hardware from the ARF.

But to purposely build a plane just to smash it up?

I had some kids break into my shop about 12 years ago. They smashed up three of my ship models I was building for commission, smashed my collection of 1/72 and 1/48 scale models, and set a 3' destroyer model on fire. They said they did it because it looked "cool" and was something really fun to do.

I hope your not one of those sick puppies.

Scott

give me a break people, I don't build them just to smash them, I only smash them when I'm sick of them...you don't have to put me in with vandals and crooks...damn

starting to wish I never made this thread, I thought I would get some good stories about it but apparently I've run into a bunch of people that are taking this too seriously.

And I know there are some of you out there that loved to see one of your airplanes meet their demise but after seeing the posts made by these people are now afraid to say anything

i had had the laser arrow for a year and a half and it had come out with me on every flying day. i flew the balls off it
i think it must have had over 200 flights an it was getting fuel soaked and falling apart at the front end-dangerous.
we had had a lot of fun together and it payed for itself many times over but i knew it had to be retired.
i took it out and flew it for one last time, landed it and walked over to it. then i jumped on it!
heres a pic of me ripping the gear out of it before putting it in a binbag

HOW COULD YOU?

I would have been happy for that. I will take old beat up planes and fix them up. If any of you all have old planes that you don't want, email me a picture. I will pay for the shipping and I will take it off of your hands. I am serious about that. Anyone interested?
I will also take Crashed planes, depending on how bad they are.
