Hey guys, I am new to electric pattern so I wanted to set up my groovy to fly sportsman sequences. Just wondering if anyone thought this would be to heavy and overkill for power?

After doing some more research I am thinking this to be more of a 90 size plane setup.

I have a Groovy 50 with Plettenberg Orbit-25/16, 5 S LiPo 4300 mAh and a 14x8 porp. It has 930 W and it will give this plane good power. I have now problem to practise P-09 at winter with that plane.

yup 900 watts does nice , its a 5s plane

use axi 4120/18
70 amp controller
5s1p 3700 to 4350ma packs (short brick style)
14x10 to 15x10e prop

5.5 lbs great performance

you will need taller gear to clear 15" prop
