RE: YD-A 56cc gas engine
Definitley NOT in production any longer.
The original engines under that brand name were made by me here in my shop. The US agent for them got permission from me to get them made in China by JC engines. If you got a good one, they were a good engine but there were many issues with those ones related to the factory making unauthorised changes and attempting to save costs. As a result production was stopped and will not be restarted unless someone would like to purchase the molds etc from me and do it under their own funding.
For the full sad history - here is a link.

RE: YD-A 56cc gas engine
Unless it has the serial number "010003" on the cylinder mounting flange of the crankcase under the exhaust port. It is not one of mine. I have tracked all of the others I sent there except for that one.
22/10, 23/8 and 24/8 are the preferred props for them. They were designed around larger diameter props and were never designed to run high RPMs - part of attempting to keep noise levels low. This made them unpopular as the majority of buyers can't see past "Spins XXX prop at YYY RPM" or "Only costs $0.01 to buy" when making a decision.
Run it on 40:1 Synthetic oil (Pick a decent brand that is readilay available to where you are - Stihl Ultra HP if you can get it).
To tune it
Take it to top RPM and Lean out the high needle until the revs drop, then open it up about 1/8 turn.
Set the throttle to about 2500 rpm then Lean the low needle until it stops pickling up speed. The richen the low as necessary to get a crisp transition.
Then go fly the heck out of it.
Nowadays the only engines I manufacture are "one off's" (Mostly Scale 4 strokes for scale projects) they are not cheap and not mass produced. I have my shop booked for just over the next year but the total number of engines is quite small.
I will NEVER get into mass production for this game again. There are already 3 companies that are VERY good at that (DA, BME, 3W), one other that is quite good (DLE) and a lot of cheap ones out there
When I buy an engine for general flying for my own use - well my sig line says it all

ORIGINAL: AJsToyz
The oil your using is for a water cooled engine, you should be using an oil for air cooled engines.

Some good oil choices are:
Penzzoil air cooled at 32:1 (or 30:1)
Redline "Racing" or "Kart" at 40:1
Stihl Ultra HP at 40:1
BelRay MC1 at 40:1
NEVER Lawnboy
NEVER Amsoil
NEVER Optilube
NEVER anything that is suggested to work at more than 50:1 (Such as 80:1 or 100:1 mixes).
My recommendation would be to go to the local saw shop and try for Stihl Ultra first. If that isn't locally available, go to the Local bike shop that specialises in dirt bikes and see which oil they sell for air cooled 2 strokes and use that (as long as it isn't on the "NEVER" list).
But seeing as it appears you have the "mystery engine". Put it into safe storage and wait until I die. Like the work of many artists, It may become quite valuable after that event. (Sorry - I can't quite predict when that will be yet, I am only in my mid fifties)
