Turnigy 50 tuning
Hey Guys, I friend of mine has a turnigy50 that spits fuel out the carb a full throttle. (lots of it) It is turning a zoar 22x8 prop. Didn't get any rpm readings.
It runs good other than it spitting so much fuel.
Anyone have any ideas.
I told him, I thought the prop was to small and it was over revving. ??

Check the reeds for a good seal, if you look at them and see if can see light through them, that could possibly be your problem
.
And good luck getting them if needed

Turnigy and XYZ are manufactured by the same company.
Sorry, TGY
They change the name on these things so much it is hard to keep up with them. When the market goes bad for one name, just give it another one and start over. LOL

If a rotary engine, 50cc, spits back fuel using a 22x8 prop at full throttle, something is quite out of whack!
Either rpm are way low, or the rotary valve is out of timing.
Check engine fitting. The valve should not close later than 45° after top dead center. At least not much.If a rotary engine, 50cc, spits back fuel using a 22x8 prop at full throttle, something is quite out of whack!

Side induction ported engines show closing a lot later. That is why they spit back at lower rpm.
