Default eieplacement of voltage regulator

I have always placed my voltage regulator between the switch and the receiver. That way, when you want to check the voltage of your receiver battery, you get a true voltage reading at the switch. One flyer today told me to put the regulator between the battery and the switch. Let me know your thoughts.

Default RE: eieplacement of voltage regulator

Always place the regulator between the switch and the reciever. Placing the regulator between the battery and the switch subjects the battery to the idle current voltage consumption of the regulator. Although the voltage concumption of the reaglator is slight, if placed in storage for a period of time the voltage draw would run the battery down and as we all know with Lipo batteries you could lower battery voltage to the point of no return.
