I'm not sure about the Mugen but many haven't had much luck with HPI and most that I know have had great results out of the Nova Racing Aluminum 3 shoe clutch. This is what I have as well and I can also say that I am pleased, they are fully adjustable too and come with everything needed to adjust them as well. Check those out too.

RE: hpi alum 3 clutch good or bad
Hi there, i have the HPI allu clutch & the Mugen allu clutch running in both my Savages, the HPI clutch is in my .25, and has shown early signs of the edges burring, my 4.6 has the Mugen clutch, and has been in the truck a fair while, and is not showing any excess wear, or burring, and because the 4.6 has a lot more power than the .25, this obviously would suggest that the Mugen is a much better clutch.
So my advice is get the Mugen, they're made from very good grade alluminium, and hard wearing, great performance too!

I have the Nova and have a gallon on them and they are still doing fine. If I am not mistaken they are all so cheaper then the HPI. I got mine off ebay and with shipping was a little less then $20.
