savge x engine compression?
can you turn the engine over with your finger by using the fly wheel, or should it at least be a little tight at tdc and how tight should the cluch bell be?

RE: savge x engine compression?
There should be some resistance and much more with the glow plug in when turning the flywheel at or near TDC. Not sure what you are talking bout the CB being tight? It should spin free out of the truck on the engine or turn freely when up against the spur with out any bind. Now if you mean endplay you should only have a little. The brass bushing wears quite quickly that holds the CB on.

Even with the glow plug in it has no resistance? Are you sure the head screws are tight and the flywheel is turning the engine over and not lose on the collet? When you take the plug out and turn it with the flywheel can you see the piston going up and down? Does the engine run at all?

RE: savge x engine compression?
it barely has any resistance probably the compression but its not enough because its a pain to start its boggy and when there is no throttle on it it dies
