Default Crowd Pleaser Body... pics and info please

How many of you guys have a Crowd Pleaser body on your Savage? I'm interested in getting one... but it seems there are a few different versions of it that I don't know which one will fit.

Can you guys give me a tip as to which body fits? Also... post up some pics... I'd like to see them!

Thanks in advance!

Proline one fits.

I think its [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDVB6&P=7]THIS[/link] one.

Longer ones will fit, proline do a few different ones, they just end up nearly touching the bumper tho. You can check the length specs on towers site.

I put the Revo Crowd Pleazer 2.0 body on my Savage... Worked fine. Wheelbase is a little short, I would opt for the Revo 3.3 Crowd Pleazer 2.0 instead.

If you do get it, dont cut off too much off the back of the shell.

What happen is that when your truck goes on wheelie, the back end of the shell ended up scraping on the ground and catches on something.
Either it will rip off the post or the whole body will fold at approx where the post is and tears on just above where the wheel arch is.

If you leave some material out the back, it gets tuck in behind the bumper and will not catch.

I am thinking about getting the Pro-Line Desert Rat Body. Any one have pictures of one of these on their Savage?

Here is a pick of my Savage with the desert rat body, granted my Savy has the FLM Ext chassis, this one is sized for the Nemesis, but the Savage is the same size as the CP for the Savage.

I like the CP bodys they last forever with a little body tape and shoe goo where they start to crack. Ive been racing mine for almost 3 months and Ive not be kind on it.

heres my sav with this desert rat body >>> http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=25915

dont watch the paint job, the colour looked better on the can lol. but still you get the idea.

i cut the whole (badly) at the rear, cos without it, the shell sat too high for my liking, due to the savage X roll cage.

because ive made a bit of a mess of this one, im gonna get another, this one can be my bashiong shell.

my only grumble, was there wasnt many decals with it. just what you see on it, and a couple of proline stickers.

I generally prefer the Desert Rat body to the CP body but I do think it looks a bit small on the Savage. I think in this case the 3.3 CP body (as Dale suggested) would be the better choice for the Savage.

yeah i like the way it looks, just not happy with the colour. have also found as someone above said, the shell catches round the rear, so im getting cracks round
my posts after a few tumbles. still i dont think any shell can handle tumbles and rolls at full speed.

also still think id like it to sit lower, but it just aint possible with the roll cage.

if i did another, as im no good with spraying designs, id find a decal sheet probably to subtley spruce it up a bit.

Here are some additional pics of my desert rat body. The pics don't do the paint justice, but it's the best I could get out. The body lines are simple for a beginner to paint and do a custom looking paint job with rattle cans. I have yet to get an airbrush and compressor to do any better. Rattle cans just have to do.

The desert rat body looks like it would be more prone to rear end cracking then the CP body. Bash em have you had any problems with cracking yet?

None yet, if it does I am sure it will be in the usual suspect areas that all my other bodies have in the past. This body is still new, so that is why I can't give any durability counts, but I have yet to have a PL body not last a while, this one is made of the thicker lexan, so it should do good, but I expect with time the body may crack at the rear body mounts if anywhere.

Nah, not getting out, I had many R/C's at one time and I have limited it down to just one, so I told the wife I would try selling/trading it before I got another. It's looking like it's gone though. So I'm going to the LHS tomorrow to see what I might get, still undecided but I'll know before I leave there. I really would like to keep it but my buddy made an offer so it looks as though it's going to him, on the bright side, I'll still get to go bashing with it.
