might have to get 1 now!
axon came out with the 1st racing hover craft some time back.
but man it was costly!
as i understand it, the company went under and designs were sold.
now HSP makes a clone of it.
and hobby king has it for $90 with shipping costs. just pop in a Rx and lipo batt.
seems like a neat toy for under $100
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=16606
the only thing im not sure about is the speed. the axon was said to hit 40MPH, but i dont know if the motor/esc combo in the hobbyking version is as powerful. still, make a fun little parking lot drifter.

I had this for about 3 weeks now and its a different learning curve but manageable, I had to separate the escs so I could run the lift and thrust separately

do you mean to say that the throttle controls both the lift fan and push fan?
i would think that the lift fan would be on all the time, and that the push fan would reaspond to throttle input. its that how you changed yours to work?
also, will alittle sand on the ground be an issue with these? do you have to have perfectly smooth surface to run them?

A friend had a toy one once. A Tyco I think. The only time it really moved was on a frozen pond. Was a little difficult to get stopped on ice, but it could be done. I suppose a gym floor would be the same as ice, but probably not large enough an area.

sand in Maine? thats the first time i have heard that. i always thought Maine was like Pennsylvania where there were a lot of hills and grass and no sand. (well Pennsylvania doesn't have sand since we are locked in between other states)

well, we put sand on parking lots and roads when plowing them. when the snow melts, most parking lots are pretty sandy.

its got alot more power than nikko crafts, and lighter too, it rides on a cushion of air, however does not have a skirt to get dragged on things, very curious to try one.

Exactly, since both escs are hooked up with a Y connector the lift and push fans run at the same time so I used a 3 channel Rx and used channel 3 for lift.
I have used it around dusty areas and it would just push the dust around and I did run it through a patch of dirt but since the lift fan isnt protected I wont run it though grass, I didnt try a puddle either but its suppose to rain so I will let you know how it survives water

damn too bad shipping is $20 (the cheapest one) or I'd order one now.
wonder if they are going to get them in the US warehouse
