NiMH wont charge right.
Hey guys..
I'm runnin a coupla 1100mAH NiMH cells.
I'm usina 6V 120mA charged which says its for 1000mAH batteries. I figured that since NiMHs like to be charged slowly, this should work.Well at a linear rate of charge.. it should take 1100/120= 9.6 hours to charge.
This charger has an LED on it that dims as the battery picks up a charge. However.. I've left this battery on for about 40 hours now and it wont dim? The battery does have a charge after its done but I dont think its a full charge. The battery doesnt get warm to touch so I dont think its being overcharged.
Any ideas? I think the charger is at fault but both items are only a month old.

(I thought about posting this in electric, but its us nitros that use this pack for our RXs.. so put in in here.)

NiMH wont charge right.
this happens alot when using cheap peak detection chargers, they just arent "smart" enough to detect when the pack is done. 120 isnt that slow of a rate but If the charge rate is slow enough then the battery wont get hot. when A battery gets full it creates resistance too the current, this is what makes the pack hot, but if the current is slow enough then heat will not be produced. this may be happening in your case. My 800mah pack never gets hot even if I leave it on for 2 days, but then again thats only at 55mzh rate.
