do any of those Y connectors reverse one servo?

Lunchboxer 06-03-2008 02:39 PM

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

Some Y do, some don't...

I never use Y, because I typically run 3-ch RX, so I do the reversing electronically on my radio.. but there are some Y-harness that actually allow you to switch the reverse on the harness itself...

This is the Y harness you're looking for.

anyone have hitec servo?

do they all come with cases like the blue one in this image?

No. I have used Hitec servos though and their high torque metal gear servos are extremely strong.

Per Tim suggested, I am looking at this right now:

http://www.rcguy.com/index.php?main_...products_id=15

But also looking at some TTR products.. hmm...
sounds like you hated the way it steered in stock form.. it was really THAT bad??

Lunchboxer 06-03-2008 04:01 PM

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

Try it and see how you like it.. there are many that run stock steering.. I was/am just picky.... :D

yeah thats the y harness i was on about cheers,:D

i have had a look at a few axle servo mounts and non tend to fit unless you move the suspension...i think i will stick to 1 servo and upgrade the motors first and rin 2 batts;)

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

Did you see the one I used? Just curious...

I'd guess the original poster was trying to use an Y-harness to run 2 servos on the same channel...

Looks like a Tamiya Bruiser...

Lunchboxer 06-04-2008 10:49 AM

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

Why get a Clod and do jumps... there's better jumpers out there.. trucks w/ big travel, etc.

But hey, when you do, be sure to take some pics.. LOL! :D

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

well i did some huge jumps with my lunchbox and yeah i wrecked it in the end but it handled them good. it was a 15ft jump that finished the lunchbox off so i was wondering how high the clod could manage.

yeah i like jumping and yeah things break but i love mid air pics of monster trucks and they do look sweet when they land/roll:D

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

Actually, let me take it back.. I shouldn't be recommending stuff that's not Tamiya.. (joke) :D

How about a Twin Detonator / Dual Hunter?! Those should be decent jumpers...

tamiya trucker 06-04-2008 11:12 AM

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

the Twin Detonator looks like a tl-01 just with double motor. sweet:D

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

Hello everyone. Im new here. Not sure what I am supposed to do. I have a question though. . . . I am building a clod based crawler. You know, the kind with a motor on each axle. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make it dig as you can with the axial ax10?
