Hi all, need a cheap generator for the pits, I heard about this little 880 watt generator from some friends of mine, so I stopped by Princess Auto and took a looksee, $132.00 US out the door. I was impressed at the quality, so I picked one up, I don"t really need a third generator, but I am a sucker for a deal.
I started it up tonight and it runs good and the noise level was not bad.
It's a 2 stroke and weights 40 lbs.

That's agood deal. I keep a 1000W. Generac generator in my trailer, and found that it will power just about anything that I need at the field. It will even run a small "pancake" style air compressor, a moto tool, a soldering iron, portable drill press, Bridgeport milling machine and Hardinge tool room lathe, and spotlights, but it won't run my reefer to keep the drinks cold. Oh, well....can't win 'em all.

Hi Pete,
That looks almost identical to the one I just got. Over here ACO Hardware carries them under the Farmington brand. Mine is a 1000 w and weighs 44 lbs. Regular price at ACO is $149. They had them on special, in limited quantities, the day after Thansgiving for $88. Since they only had a few per store they gave rain checks to those of us who waited in line for the store to open.

They said it would take 2-3 months for the next shipment and I got the call last week that it was in. It started and ran fine. I probably really didn't need it either, but it was too good a deal pass up.

Hey Pete,
If I can't find one local, I'll take it off your hands at Florida Jets.
Thanks,
Bob
