RE: Get Well soon Ali
Hey Azza,
Best to you as well............glad both you guys faired well.
Bryce
Vin..................Ali is very experienced with high performance things, I'm sure he can handle a Vette with the AH turned off, however, he's a bit sharper in the early morning hours..............that's where he shines.............best advice is to hang around with him right before the sun comes up, that way bad things are less likely to happen.
Best to you as well............glad both you guys faired well.

I would say that is good advice ONLY if you are an experienced driver of performance cars. The C6 can bite you real fast with the AH turned off.

WOW!!!!
Last year, while my wife and I were driving from Lakeland to Orlando, a woman pulled in front of us and rolled her little covertable. Same highway. Same day. The Monday after Top Gun.
Glad to hear all is well. Hope you can still make our event in September. www.warbirdsovertherockies.com

RE: Get Well soon Ali
Hey Guys,
Thank you so much for all your kind words and well wishes. A massive thank you to little Azza. He was a true star in a pretty crappy situation. Sorry you had to go through that mate. Presta... Love ya, and as always thanks for your support on the phone while I was stuck in Orlando feeling sorry for myself.
I am back in the Uk now sore and aching. ( Plus 9 stitches to the head ) It's all just starting to sink in now how lucky I really was. It was all a bit of a shock at the time and I guess I have been a little numb about it all since it happened, but looking back at the photos sort of brings it home how it could have worked out a little differently.
I hope to make it to a jet meet tomorrow but not sure if I will be up to it.
Once again thanks all you guys/ and girls.
Regards Al

RE: Get Well soon Ali
Glad to hear your ok Ali.
Had almost the same thing happen to me this past December.
I damaged my knees pretty bad and broke the gas pedal off with my ankle, plus bent my neck up.
On the initial hit while sliding I was thinking......."christ this hurts alot!!!"
Very painful.
It still hurts and the other guys insurance still has not paid up.
Oh well, better to be alive.

Aren't you glad you're not 6' 5" ??? Coulda lost yer head in more than just the metaphorical sense.
See - next time you need to come over to California instead of Florida. The drivers over here are MUCH better - and they never, ever, drive around without licenses, insurance, or brain cells. [X(] (Hmmm - I wonder why my nose has just grown about 6 inches?)

Ali should be home today, the truck driver was not insured and had no licence. my 14 year old son (Azza) was in the car with Ali when it happend. fortunatly he got away with a stiff neck and a twisted ankle. Ali had a nasty cut from headbutting a flying truck!
i am going to post a couple of pics, hope he dont mind.
PS presta, you might want to edit your post regarding the speed

RE: Get Well soon Ali
Once again thanks for all your kind words. Much appreciated, and thank you to all those that stopped to talk to me at the classic jets meeting to wish me well on Friday.
Regards Al.
Paradrop.... No I went with an instructor called Sean. Top guy and an avid modeller to boot. I found that out at the top of a big loop when I told him that my model T-6 would have flicked on me by that point
As for the Spitfire experience....... Are you kidding!!!!!! Just tell me what I need to do and where I need to be, and as long as it doesnt involve losing my thumbs I am up for whatever it takes
