I'm putting a P-200 in mine when it gets here. They are flying the same size in Europe with 200's and they fly great.

What would be the smallest engine you could run on this size jet with no external stores ? I'm not much on running anything under the wings and keeping the airplane fairly light.

Holy smokes it is big, actually measured 107.5", front half came today and had to bolt it together just to see , the paint is pretty good, the grey is excellent, the tiger strips are OK, a few slips here and there with the airbrush, the decaling on the tail is very good. I must say that the cockpit is not worth $200, other than the tub the rest is heavy resin plastic and questionable to use, I probably will make something myself and it won’t be hard to make it look better either. The Blue box Elite force pilots will look much better in the jet too.
Over all a nice jet, definitely not Top Gun quality and might be difficult to achieve that goal.
The front landing gear has limited travel and has a ruff feel and sound to them when compressed this could possibly be easy to fix with some emery cloth and grease, the rear are very stiff and limited travel, this travel may be enough but it is about the same or a little less than my Skymaster F-16, the tolerances seem to be very good, there is very little play and they rotate very smoothly.
The wings and stab fit very tight and are well aligned.

Yes the rear formers need to be reinforced, it is a heavy bird and a little insurance wont hurt.

IMO you'll just be adding extra weight. with the way the gear is designed it is also supported by a forward former which prevents the gear from twisting so the only force applied to that former is upward sheer and it's more then adequately sized.
