RE: Mig 21 goes the Netherlands
No P200:s needed if the Tumansky is still inside... You just need a few thousand liters of Jet A-1 then...
BTW, when these were still in use here in Finland, there was once a landing incident that bent the tail bottom fin. It was to be fixed properly, so they called in a MIG factory qualified mechanic from Russia. He just took a sledgehammer, gave it some pounding and said" Toleranz...!"
Sweet bird! The nearest to my house is just a few kilometers away in the Aviation Museum neat the Vantaa airport. I once sat inside the turquoise cockpit.

Wow, I never noticed door cylinders that look so similar to the ones we use. I gues these are hydrolic verses pneumatic? Maybe they bought them from FEJ.

Neat, just love those massive engines attached to deltas and a place for the pilot to squueze in. Used to once work in the factory where they made those engines and other systems for these and other MiG series birds here in India.

Henk, if you have a chance, could you post a few more miscellaneous pics? A few more of the cockpit if you can. [8D] I picked up a Fei Bao 21 kit, and am planning to model it after the MiG-21 parked at Sosterberg at your museum.
Thanks- I hope you guys enjoy your very own MiG-21!
