Sorry Joe, I had never heard of the other flying coffins. The DH-4 is was refering to was the U.S. Liberty version.

How about this, according to my sources, it is the only American military...

The Sikorsky Russky Vityaz nick named the La Grand was the first 4 engined aircraft, although the early Sikorsky Russky Vityaz's were twin engined.

Could it be that these engines are Allison V-1710's and would have been in P-51B's, the same as your forum name and that appears to be a scaled down wing of a P-51.
