Yes you can do the inflight COG in flight like you said.
I think the down elevator is a common thing with this airframe from memory.

They now sit flush to the original mount surface.....I guess I will know if its ok soon.

I am just installing electron retracts into mine, I have made ply boxes for them to sit in as they are not as big as the top rc units.
Any advice would be great.

Well I finally got mine in the air yesterday
My AUW was 15kg Dry I only have a 300ml tank in it.
I had two flights with no problems.
Thanks to everyone on this thread for all their help.
