If the failsafe is set to idle it will stay at idle. Set it to a range outside of normal like -125% or more or to send no signal....

Throttle cut turns the engine off on turbines. Has nothing to do with brakes. It’s to stop the engine not the plane.

Yes, I use the rudder trim for steering too. But I don’t use any trim for rudder so I have extra trim buttons available.
