RE: THE RETURN OF THE VIPERJET
My gear came through Cermark I believe (from CML distribution in the UK). How about Tamjets?
However, im about to try some other gear myself now due to the fact I fly off rather rough grass which im afraid is rattling the poor Viper to death. Jet-1A gear, they're a new and nice design, well made, not particularly scale in look though. I let you know how i get on with them...(im a sucker for new toys!)

RE: THE RETURN OF THE VIPERJET
Covers that seam line nicely, good to have one thats a little different. Incidentally, did you have any trouble getting the nose to stay down without the canopy on? Mine wants to sit on the tail without that extra weight. Have fun with the maiden.

Speaking of the canopy who knows where I could get a detail kit? gauges, pilot, anything scale looking?

Nice looking jet you got there Darcy.
Has it flown yet? I like the blue, I get it about personalizing it, mine has black strips under the wing and red on top. Did you get the struts from Robart, finally? I also like to get me a pilot, if I find one that 's appropriate I will let you know.

Crow still handy in a crosswind, mixed with about 6pct down and with a good delay on flap deployment speed theres no marked pitch-up

Darcy
Did you maiden the Viperjet over the weekend? I flew mine on Sunday, this airplane is so easy to fly that it makes you look good all the time, you have to use crow, it slows it down to a nice approach speed. The guys have so much fun watching this jet fly every time.

MAN oh MAN!!!
I got sick on Friday and keeped me from feeling up to the moment...
But today I felt weak but able so I wend down to my Local field AKA "Side Walk" I just planed to do some high speed taxi and check out the plane...
Whouldnt you know it, after 5 mins of taxi, I said screw it and blasted off, into the air she leaped and climbed out with power to spare.
I didnt retract the gear but instead I trimed it out and flew it around, back and forth a few times and did a nice roll, after that I decided to make some approaches, I slowed it down and eased in flaps to full, once it stablized it didnt need any retrim I could see. I turned bace to final and keeped in the power, well on my fist attempt I just flew by...no landing there, so I gave her some juice and flew back off.
This time I slowed it down on base and on final it just settled in, nice and smooth all the wat to touch down! I applied the brakes and it stoped in 25 feet...
WOW what a RUSH!!! Shes in one piece and Im taking it easy...
Thannks for all the help from these types of threads and the people in them, my Maiden went flawlessly...

RE: THE RETURN OF THE VIPERJET
I cannot say enough good things about this jet,I have to say to anyone if you haven't tried the crow mixing you do not know what you are missing this is just what the Super Viper needed I could not believe the difference it made on landing I thought I was landing a big old piper cub you can place your landing where you want it.Like the guy said wish all jets could have crow mixing I did a couple of go around in this confriguration no problems did not even notice the crow mixing was in nothing funny happen with the jet just a normal go around.

RE: THE RETURN OF THE VIPERJET
Bringing this thread back to life....
I am starting on my Viper Jet now....I have read this thread carefully and hopefully mine will go without a hitch.
Is anyone still flying theirs? What is the status and has any new information come t light with this jet?
