That ol' girl just needs a little TLC and a Saito to take to the air. Is that a 72 Mhz antenna hole behind the turtle deck I see?

Yesirreee,

I still use only 50 mhz, ham radio systems. My newest radios are Futaba 9Cs and I have 6 of them! Nothing wrong with that 50 and 72 MHz stuff.

Jim, they took the foil added adhesive to the back and called it Flitemetal and AeroFoil and some soft headed fools actually bought it! I confess I bought the later its a little lighter.

guys, I like this plane in my link, it has potential, a little work on the tail feathers and here and there and it will look like it's straight out of the 30s.
but if I bought it, it would be setting a while, like my Telesport

Jim, their color scheme for that one is pretty cool looking. I like their .20-.51Javelin too.

I have one setting in the box down stairs waiting to get put together. Looking for a saito 56 to put on it.

One thing for sure, I would move the main landing gear rearward.

Sorry, I was talking about the Sky Ranger 40.
the gear were way forward of the leading edge.

Got two Hogs here to unload. A plane old standard covered in silk and dope and a Hog Bipe. Matching silk and doped. Very light.

for it to come out of the 30s that Sky Ranger would have to have it's seat put back a bit

I like the color scheme too

Hmm
Working on organization in my hanger. May have room for a naked Astro bipe. Got shelves of bored Saito's. I love the flight charistics and simple rc design. I am sixty miles west of the city if your the gentleman around metro Detroit. I get into town a bit. And drive a truck eh.

Hyjinx, if I lived that close to Gary we'd be in a truck race to get that Hog Bipe!

Not a lot. The B has a different case with the low profile cam gear housing and a plastic throttle arm. Same bore and stroke as an A.

Erieqc, a 62 makes 10% more hp than a 56 and has the same mounting footprint. I thought I'd mention that in case you weren't sure if the 56 would have enough grunt.

Just walked in the door 5 minutes ago. Left Detroit at 9:00 AM, drove to Columbus Ohio. Dropped off both planes and brought home a very nice, 1949 vintage EF Johnson Viking One ham radio transmitter.
