Hi , here has a quick question before i put them in i didnt really checked,, fuel tanks are each 3000 or 3200cc have you checked ?
my first one i used standard size 25kg servos on rudders and dig a lot to put them in but this new one i plan to use mid size servos 17kg , how about yours now ?

Not sure on fuel tank size as I didn't check capacity.
on this one, installed standard sized servos. wasn't really a problem getting them in other than grinding some material out. If I was to build another I would still go with a normal size servo.

After several years I finally finished my A-10, the owner has been very patient waiting! Hopefully the test flying will commence shortly.
Part of the time was lost where I decided how to do certain things where I did not like the various options people have used. I wanted good serviceability as the model will stay in my possession.
I decided early on the canopy opening option was not something we were interested in as really it needs a linear drive to look right. I have also seen people accidentally open the canopy in the air!
So, my choice was 5000 Powerbox batteries that allow them to be installed in the nose and have the remote charging socket in one of the side ducts.
The ECU packs are on the top tray, access to the balance leads is through the cockpit. Access to the MPX plug in the tank access hatch where the ECU’s sit.
Canopy is held closed by two rods which are located in the nose hatch.
My air valves are mounted on a plate which fixes in place on two Velcro strips. This will allow the air tubes to stay connected if the fuselage ever needs splitting.
Filler fuel dots and overflow fittings are on the underside.

Dave W from Motors & Rotors was flying a SM A-10 at the former RAF Abingdon during Classic Jets #83 meeting.
It flew superbly with twin JC 130s

It turned out really well. Perfectly powered with the two JetCat P-130’s giving a real 308N of vertical push.
The model is owned by one of my customers who runs an engineering company that produces parts for quite a few military aircraft

Light version A-10 with two T16 Turbines, Futaba bls177 Servos , with 1 L smoke and fuel tanks full,10 lights installed , take off weight 30-31kg ( 3x7.4v 3300mah , 2 x 11.1v 3700mah)

Almost finished refitting my A10 that I bought off somebody else, removed all old servos which were a mismatch on every single control surface and where 6v and now replaced with Futaba 9177, so can run HV, new Powerbox Comp SR2 going into existing Cortex Pro, Vspeak Compressor and all new batteries.
2 x Brand new Kingtech 142G4+
New radio trays built, some new linkages made up, Speed brakes spent a lot of time in getting these right, what a pain in the butt they were to do!!
All control surfaces are setup and CG is now done, it's coming in slightly nose heavy, about 5mm forward, which I think will be fine for the maiden, although would be great to hear any feedback?
Need to find out about any flap - elevator mix if required?
Looking at my all up weight and comparing to Jonathon's they are almost the same, assuming his was empty tanks and full UAT's like mine. My concern is my left side is 800g more than the right, which is a lot, Jonathon's appears to be around 200g difference from his image posted previously.
The plane is currently sitting on my scales as I write this, I will take it apart and weigh each finished wing panel to see what's going on.
The maiden won't happen till spring next year, so have plenty of time, plus I will need to get the CAA paperwork done.
Any advice would be very welcomed

Almost 2lbs seems like a lot of difference side to side. Just a suggestion if you didn't do so already, switch your left and right scales just to confirm.
Maybe wing 1 was laid up by worker 1 and wing 2 was laid up by worker 2 who feels excessive use of materials is better.
Don't believe there is any elevator compensation that was needed.
I typically setup my customers radio's with different trims on each flap setting so if it needed something it was only minor.
Yea weight was done with UAT Full and probably 1" of fuel in the tanks.

I have now weighed both complete wing panels and they are with-in 100-120g of each other. My guess is it may have something to do with the offset nose wheel causing an imbalance between the 2 main legs. I will look in to this further, and will try switching the scales over, but really happy the wings are as close as that to be honest.
I have done the same, separate trims for the different flight condition, Flaps up, take off and Landing.

My guess is it may have something to do with the offset nose wheel causing an imbalance between the 2 main legs. I will look in to this further, and will try switching the scales over, but really happy the wings are as close as that to be honest.

my both A10 ,I land with full flaps which max can be open .I always open them when I m enough high and slow than gliding the plane til land ... no mix with elevator. cg on the manual is about to correct . this plane need lot of nose balance if using 160 or above turbine.which I m always using 160. elevators movement due to manual its looks big but really needed. this plane need more elevator movement than my any other plane .

I have 140's in mine. In the nose section, I have managed to squeeze in, 2 x 3s LiFe 3300 for turbines, 1 x 2s 1700 for lights and a 3s 2200 for the air compressor. Then next to the front wheel I have the vspeak air compressor and on the forward tray as far forward as possible, underneath the cockpit is 2 x 2s Li-ion 5200 for the radio, with all this so far forward I haven't needed to add any lead. And in fact I might need to move a few things backwards, as I'm about 5mm to far forward on the CG. But I need to add more air in the main legs as they are compressing a lot under the weight and this could be shifting the CG when on my digital scales.
