RE: Airworld Mig21 Ready to fly
Thanks Jeremy,
Yes that is a Airworld cockpit, and thats how it comes out the box. Imagine having to make that yourself[:'(]
Hopefully Jeff and I will be able to get some better video soon. The jet is now painted and correctly balanced, and who knows if we are really lucky the wind might drop below 30mph
Regards Al

RE: Airworld Mig21 Ready to fly
Hi Keith, Although these are not Airworld Ravens (they are Graupner) please let me know if you need any info on the Airworld one. I can either ask Airworld direct, or I have a internet friend in South Africa that has just finished an Airworld one and has good photos of the build he did.
Regards Al

Hi Keith,
The Turbo Raven is also great I think we have some video of one of those as well... hey Jeff?
Good news about the Rat (nice name)
Not sure about Bury right now as it is the weekend before Top Gun and I might try to go and get some practice in before hand

RE: Airworld Mig21 Ready to fly
Managed to get a break in the Uk weather today. Thanks to Mark Hinton for the invite to RAF Honnington I had a great day flight testing the Mig and others.
Keith: I have not flown the Airworld Raven, but I have sen it flown many times. My impressions are that the Graupner one is less scale, smaller. More of a sport Raven than a full blown scale Turbo raven. The Airwold one is a lot more curvaceous and obviously has all the scale detail molded into the kit.
Both Kits will accept the Wren or the Jet cat units. As far as state of completion. I think it would be fair to say that both kits are as prefab as one and other. The only thing in the Graupner versions advantage is better instructions

RE: Airworld Mig21 Ready to fly
Hi Ali
Yes we were lucky with the English weather the Mig21 was great on the ground but up in the air it was in its natural element it was fantastic it was so stable and never looked like a model anywere in the flight envelope i received the photos of my foxjet and f22 last night they were good and have given vic your email again so he will let you have the shots of your models flying .
Best regards Mark Hinton.

RE: Airworld Mig21 Ready to fly
bit late now, sorry. Maybe you could get creative with photoshop? It would only take a set of markings and you woul be in business. Or you could always get a russian Wife.
I saw a good advert in a full size aero club the other day that basically read
30 something dashing company director PPl Pilot looking for Wife.
She must have plane and hanger and GSH
Please send picture......
Of plane and hanger
That sums it up for me really.

RE: Airworld Mig21 Ready to fly
Went flying the Mig again yesterday. The more I fly it the more I love it. I am surprised at the public reaction to this model. Never thought so many people liked it.
Thanks to Mike Tipping for these great photo's

RE: Airworld Mig21 Ready to fly
Nice to meet you at Florida jets. You and I seem to be sharing a liking for T-33's at the moment My JMP one arrived yesterday. Great kit. I flew one with a P-120 and 2 circuits into the flight my order was placed.
I can see you on the sticks of something like the mig 21., if you ever make it to the Uk feel free to come and fly mine.
