You can run your Revo in the sand all you want, just offering some advice to help you out. Revos aren't as bad as other trucks because of the rear exhaust. The problem with nitro vehicles and sand is the oily exhaust residue. I must admit, 5 foot roostertails off all 4 wheels is awesome! Don't worry too much about waterproofing your truck, just stay out of the water! Salt water is not good for electronics, aluminum parts and steel parts. Be diligent and clean your truck after every run, NEVER, ever run without an air filter, and spend a few bucks and get a good quality air filter, like a Motorsaver, use a prefilter and go to Wally world and buy some baby socks- I'm not kidding- and use one over the filter and prefilter as an extra layer of protection. It only takes a grain or two of sand in the carb to trash your motor. If you really, really want to run in water, get a boat.

Really chief, the head aches you may encounter. It's really not worth running in the sand. All it takes is one grain of sand in that engine and it's done. Not to mention sand is like having grinding or sand paper all over your car/truck while you run. Plus its just a mess to really clean up. You are better off running your car/truck through the mud on a rainy day.
