Hello everyone,
I've got a TT-01 (audi dtm05 sportline) and I've ball raced it, added an alloy prop shaft and alloy motor heatsink, adjustable steering arms, 19t fireball, mtroniks rv max esc, and I want to change the gearing ( I need more speed!! ), so my question to you is: if I change to 22t pinion and 58t spur will it affect my run times badly? I get 30-40 minutes from a 3700mah Nimh pack and dont really want it to suffer too much.
So could you tell me what you think the best thing is for me to do?, also what drift tyres would you recommend?

Can the protoform nemesis 190mm body fit the tt-01?

Yes any 190mm body for a touring car should fit the TT-01.

ProtoForm amazda 6 190mm fits fine.

Finally got every thing working correctly. I didn't like the amount of play that the upgraded control arms gave so I put the stock one back on until I upgrade the rest of the steering linkage. Ran it on 3S LiPo.. Totally INSANE!!! Would not want to run those cells for anything other than straight line. Holy crap it flew. I am going to run it again tomorrow with the GPS on the back to get a idea of speed. I would say at least mid 30's. Thanks for the advise and help on the few things I had trouble with guys. This driving on land thing is not so bad once you get it going. Still prefer the water though.

No, It is the 5700 motor. THe 7700 would be a little faster.

Whats your run time on that? Is it the stock gearing?

Right this second it is stock. I havent felt like playing with different gear ratios yet. With the LiPos (4000Mah) I ran about 15 min before I had to quit. Still had like 3.2v per cell so it could have ran a bit longer. On NiMH 4200's it was about 15 minutes or so

Mate that thing is a torque monster and the TT-01 is way undergeared in stock form in my opinion, gear that baby up more.

YEs it is. You are 100% correct. The problem is, this car was bought just so I could pass the time in the winter months waiting for epoxy to dry on my other projects. It has now become a money hungry obsession! I knew it would though. Anyway, I have the gears to gear it up with, just haven’t taken the time to do so. I can see I will be playing with ratios here real soon though

Oh and you were right about the motor mount position, BigMik. I was reading reading that thing completly wrong.. Sorry about that. It took me taking it to my LHS and them pointing it out. Sorry about that.

Well check this out. Don't know if you read my previous post yesterday but I was having trouble with the nylon bushings on the new aluminum front upper and lower arms being too tight for the servo to move them. I put in a Spektrum Metal gear servo and still had the same issue. I "debured" two of the them but still the problem was there. They were just too tight. What I did was take the bushings out of the stock A-arms and put them in the new ones. They are considerbly smaller. Kinda weird I though but it works now. And once again I was completly wrong about the motor mount thing. I even got a bit rude. I appologize about that.
