i run an ez-run 9t 35amp in my m-03 mini cooper.

i have never had any "cogging" or stuttering at low speeds like some have complained about.

i found the system very easy to set up and run. i have no intention of running 3s lipo as the mini is insanely fast on 2s.

i will be adding more ez runs or xe runs in the future. i'm very happy with the product.

yes these cogging only occur if your gearbox componets wear (spur gear, spur gear stoppers, spu gear adaptors, ball bearings, bearing housings, motor mount etc) Ihad bad cogging with my 7 month old tt01 chassis, replaced the chassis and is good as new, no cogging. People say that sensorless is more powerful than sensored but sensored is more effiecient and smoother than sensorless. Is this true? Maybe should consider a Xerun.

Ive just changed by boys xray 08 from the 9t 35a set to the 8.5t 60a and its slower at the moment which i wasnt expecting. We ran the 9t with 80 spur and 19 pinion and it was great all round no matter what track we set up and fast down the straights. After putting the 8.5t in ive changed to 84 spur and 25 pinion. I was expecting a lot more from it as its supposed to be full 540 size with more torque and only 300kv less. Is it just the gearing or is it going to be something else?

maybe it over heated because the ezruns wih the 370 rotors have a massive in builtheatsink to keep them cool.

i just got a 5.5 turn 6000kv motor and i notice when you turn the shaft with your fingers it feels a little like a brushed motor not smooth like a mamba motor. i put in in my tc4 and i have not tried it yet but i am thinking it will be loud compared to the mamba 5700 it replaced

well i tried my new 5.5 6000kv ezrun motor today and i am happy with it im running a 4200 20c 11.1 thunder power and it hit 67mph. the 5700 mamba did 59mph with the same grating 18\72 in my tc4 and i never got over 130 the whole time about 5 min of speed passes it was well worth the 37.00 i paid for it at hobbypartz, but i will say i will never buy a motor i need to sorter wires on again what a pain.

so if u change the gear mesh too much it will cause wear? My stupid bec and on/off switch plug got wrecked so i am buying a new esc. Getting it for $45 including postage from ebay (Hobby wing version) as a replacement. Be careful with those bec wires.

you gear too tall you will loose both top speed and accel. and of course gain heat.

I have an EZRun 5.5t brushless for my TT 01E and I would like to know the best pinion/spur combination for optimal performance w/o overheat.

I installed my ezrun brushless motor and 60A esc and now my range on the transmitter/receiver is not as good.  Any ideas???  The car will go forward and turn on its own at about 30ft.

U want to gear around 6-6.5.

Your still on AM radio? with a 5.5??

Ive noticed that changing motors does in fact change range on the radio sometimes. think it has to do with motor capacitors or something. Are your motor ot battery wires close to the antenna? changed your batteries lately?

I just got the 5.5t and couldn't wait to install. I am going to get a 2.4g radio and transmitter this weekend. I noticed that many people say to check the location of the antenna wire. I will try later and post results. THANKS!!

I think the receiver is bad because I put the Tamiya ESC back in and I still have the glitching. I am going to pick up a 2.4ghz tx/rx and see how that works.
