They just posted the Championship Rings...looking good. The biggest cash payouts in RC History and it will be live for the world to see which Sponsored and which Sportsman Drivers take home the cash. History will be made.

Never will it spoil it...Like baseball if you got it you go to the BIG SHOW if not you play slow pitch softball...There will always be softball and there will all be the purist who goes to the local events, but it's time the good non sponsored drivers get a shot at making it. There will always be a division hell, we have one now with the teams and the semi sponsored drivers and then everyone else who races. Lots of everyday snowboarders and skateboarders but those how can go for the gold. Look as ESPN this week and see all those dart guys...still 14 million not there and tossing darts in pool halls and bars all over America for fun and trophies. The question is " Is RC racing ready to step up to get major sponsors and money? This race will answer that question to a degree but the next few after, as the cash goes up, will really push the envelope.

Where as i can see both sides of the argument and not being a racer myself due to lack of facilities near byi'm not overly concerned, i think Tech Control has summed things up nicely.
For every one racer that has the ability to race for money, there is 10,000 who can't but will aspire to be one of the guys who can. I think this is a good thing.
Above all its going to promote our hobby, which again, is nice

Fast RC Worlds has posted the rules for The $25,000, RC's Richest Race Ever, World Series For Drivers on their site www.fastrcworlds.com. Two Rc Mags have committed to sponsor and cover this Ground Breaking Race in Oct....This will be formally announced next week....drivers in the MOD Class who are Invited will be posted on the site next week. Michael Blackstock one of the top racers in the US, also one of the fastest 1/12th scale racers in the world is in the WSD. He will be in the hunt for the Ring in the $25,000 World Series For Drivers this Oct 11-14. [8D]More to follow...

We at FAST RC WORLDS are constantly asked about doing a race for Ovals, Nitro, on-road, off road and all the rest so let us give you our short term and long term plans. Our business model calls for each division to have Their Own Big Cash Race. Ovals will have a WSD Race all to their selves. If the support isn't there then that part of the WSD will be put aside. The Series is about what will fire up the public... NON RACERS to be exact and the youth to be even more specific. Everyone points to off road nitro because of the noise and the similarity to NASCAR ( our business model ) but all factors must be weighed. Cost, accessibility to accommodating tracks, racers support, industry support the list goes on. The skeptics abound but they were also there in the snow, in Vt. telling the Snowboarders to get off the mountains don't upset the already established skiers. They were at the town meetings trying to ban Skateboarding as it upset people in the towns and cities. It is RC's Time to follow those sports to public acceptance and success. With the net and a crazy number of cable channels to get this out it is time to get "Heads on the Races". [/We are willing to commit the time, money and energy to give RC's a Shot at the Big Time. Hmm....I hope it's on at a time evryone can watch it. I wanted to watch the FIBA semi finals but its on extremely early on friday morning....bummer.

By the way I saw the game and it was tense until the 3rd qrt...then we banged a few threes and fierce defense.....fell asleep up 15 in the 4th[8D]

Man personally I thought both teams did pretty bad knowing what they are capable of. Carmello should have gave up on the threes, actually most of the team should have because they just werent hitting them. I think USA's problem is they spent so much time watching Dirk the rest of germany was able to sneak behind and score. They were able to pull ahead, but they better change their game plan if they hope to beat Greece.
