Default Hey Jetmax...how's the F-16

Hey Kim,

How is your F-16 coming? I registered with rcuniverse just to get a little more info on it. But anyway any updates would be great and keep up the amazing work.

cheers

Hi Ben,

I'm making molds of the plugs now. I tried to upload some pix but I'm getting the 'FILE TOO LARGE' error message again like I got a couple weeks ago when I tried to upload some shots of Kevin Marks' F-18 maiden flight. I tried the next day and then everything uploaded for Kevin's beautiful bird. I'll try again later. Thanks for your interest.

Kim, open the pic in microsoft paint, under accesories. From there, go to image, then stretch/scew. Under the horizontal and vertical tabs type in 75 percent. (75). Save as a copy of the original, and that one should be able to come on rcu. I have to do it always with my 3.3 megapixel camera on high quality.

By the way, i WILL get those dimensions today for the pitot!

Nick

See you at the Rally!

Can't wait to see the pics. I can't get over the size. I took out a tape measure just to see if it would fit in my hobby room. Lets just say I need to find a new room.

Ok - got the pics from Kim, so I'll have a go at posting them.

I don't know if Kim wants to add some "commentary" about the pics - in case he does, and in case any of the pics are similar enough to make it hard to know which one he's talking about ... let's reference the pics by post number and a letter - since this will be post #7 in the thread, and I'll add 3 pics, we have pics 7a, 7b and 7c, from left to right, ok ?

Well, after looking at those pics, all I can say is that I'm really impressed ! (As well as rather jealous of Kim's abilities)

Great job Kim - keep us posted about the progress.

Gordon

BTW, I didn't need to make any adjustments to the pics in order for RCU to accept them, so the size etc that you selected is fine. I know from a PM conversation with Marc yesterday that there was some kind of issue with one of the servers a day or two ago... e.g. in my Hunter build thread, some of the pics that I posted appeared when posted, then disappeared a little while later. So, maybe you just hit one of the servers when it was having a bad day, but hopefully you'll be able to post pics on your own now. If not, you know where to send 'em.

Gordon,

Thanks for posting the pix that shows the molding 'update'. I don't know what is causing the posting problems. Like I said, I had trouble posting the shots of Kevin's F-18 a few weeks ago too. Before I emailed the pix to you, I tried again this morning to post them and finally got the 'FILE UPLOADED SUCCESSFULLY' on the screen but nothing showed up on the forum page. ????????
So, thanks again for the 'end around'.

Hope you are comming to the AZ jet rally!

best regards,
Kim

Hey Buck!

Most everyone has a shop like mine if only they would dig around long enough to find a device commonly referred to as a broom ( a rather primitive tool, but very effective!)

Are you going to be in Mesa?
