Default .18TM T-Maxx EB or supercharger for T-maxx 3.3

I was wondering which upgrade should I get for my T-Maxx 3.3

this http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLNG1

or the supercharger by RB Innovations. From the posts that I have been reading, the supercharger is a waste of money. Right now I have the Vantage Racing pipe on there. I really don't want to spend over 300 bucks if that helps.

Thanks

Stay away from the supercharger, go w/ the O.S. .18tm (as for it being modded, I don't know who does a better job)

ok, thanks

So the T-maxx comes stock with a .20 engine?

Engine: Traxxas .20 cu in (3.3cc) racing engine w/Slide Valve
Carburetor, 12mm diameter IPS crankshaft, foam air filter,
60% more peak horsepower than the TRX 2.5 engine

would going with a .18 EB mod be down grading ? or do I have it backwards ?

the O.S .18 is smaller then the 3.3 yes, but it is a much higher quality engine, it is about the same pwoer as the 3.3, but much nmore reliable and easier to tune.

From what I know EB mods does a much better job than AB, and just because the engine is smaller doesn't mean it is less powerful, and the EB mod will make it alot more powerful than the 3.3.

ok cool, thanks for all the help.... what does EB stand for anyway? and AB? Some say AB is better, and some say EB is better. I guess both are good and show little differences.

Just because people "say" so dosen't mean you agree with them automatically. Look at the differnce between them, then form a opnion.

It's like anything bro...McDonalds or Burger King, AB or EB, Cinemax or HBO? Just pick on EB and AB both do good work, obviously because if you mention a modded engine their names are both 1st.

That supercharger is junk. For a search type in supercharger and there is one guy who posted a whole huge explaination about why to stay away from them. I would find it for you but my Taco Bell is on the way. lol

cool, thanks for all the help people. I think I might wait for a .21 fully modded drop in to come out for the T-maxx 3.3. I just tried my Vantage Racing pipe yesterday for the first time, and man does that roar. It's a noticable noise difference, but for some reason when I would hit the gas hard (full trottle), it would kind of speed up cut off speed up cut off (not completely), like a rocking motion. Do I need to lean it more, or richen the fuel?

ok will do, thanks. I was wondering if anyone else had the vantage pipe on their RC. I ran it for the first time yesterday and this morning I noticed a little crack near where the pipe meets the manifold. I was wondering if that's normal? Here are some pics of the crack.

well i dont think it should be cracked

do you know what exhaust bandage is? i guess they have it in america

its used to seal holes are on car exhaust (a tempory fix)

you could put a little around the pipe over the crack so it does not get bigger
