RE: Kudos to Simjet / Kerry Sterner
BirdofpraY,
I was going to make a post here to see if Kerry Sterner was still involved with Simjet. Last Wednesday an email was sent to him and a voice message was left for him asking him for information about a Simjet turbine. As of today he has not answered by email or has not called. I thought maybe Simjet had quit doing business in the US.
I was considering buying a Simjet but upon getting no response for so long I was afraid of not being able to get service so I didn't buy the Simjet. Did he answer you right back?
Don

well I know he was at a jet meet maybe that was why you did not get a responce. I just picked up the phone and called him of course I know to call him after 6PM EST. that is the best times to reach him... He is very knowlegable and does really good work... As for Simjet turbines I have owned many of them and they have stood behind everyone of them so far, even a used one I bought.

Don,
Not sure why the problem getting in touch with Kerry last week because I spoke with him almost every day the last couple weeks. I had FOD damage to my Simjet and sent it to Kerry, I have had excellent service from him and never had any issues getting in touch with him.

Don't give up on Kerry. He's been at Capitol Jets in Albany, he will answer your call when he's back in town.
I know from personal experience that he's a man of his word and will do anything possible to get you the service/support you need with minimal delay.

Synthetic, I use the Simjet 3000 in my Elan and if you look at the video in the Elan thread you can see there is no turbine in this thrust class that can perform like that. I have put this turbine through the tests and pushed it hard. You would be very happy with a Simjet.

It's too late. I told the seller I would have to pass on it. It was a good deal too but I had to make a decision quickly and when I didn't hear back I was afraid of not being able to get service done so I had tell him no on it. It was a Simjet 3000. I appreciate your information and help though.

yeah I have learned in my younger years that rome was not built in a day, so I have learn to have patience and Simjet has taken great care of my needs for all my applications, and I am not even a darn rep...

RE: Kudos to Simjet / Kerry Sterner
for that price based on the condition of the turbine, that would have been a very easy dissicion to make. I love the power mine puts out and I love ther vertical performance right off rotation from the runway, Great Turbine....

RE: Kudos to Simjet / Kerry Sterner
Not as easy as you would think. A jet flying friend of mine just bought a turbine from someone here at RCU that was to be in good running condition and after first flight it locked up and is now back at the factory.
Even though initially it was a good price...after the repair bill it is not a very good price...
