I've had their 330S for a couple of years. As I recall the instructions where some what lacking. I also canned the fuel tank and went with my own. The wheel axels also needed to be replace. I find the short landing gear to be a problem on my landins since I'm a little older. But, Minor fupa's were easily patched and the plane still flies great. I have the O.S. 75 in mine. Oh yes, one more thought, I lost the canopy bolts right off. It's not a good idea to have steel on steel. The vibrations cause them to come loose.

I truely enjoy flying this plane, It's a little hard to get good 3D out of it because of it's strip aeilerons but it will hover very well. I run an OS91FX and it doesn't lack for power.

ok well i am now to the point where i am mounting my engine... I just cant figure out how to figure out how to cut the cowl so that the motor will fit

I just finished mine. I used some thin clear plastic (like on the cover of a spiral bound report) with some blue painters tape. Tape it to the fuse and overlay it on the engine and mark the engine cutout with a Sharpie. Cut the clear plastic to the Sharpie line. Then take the engine off and mount the cowl and overlay it on the cowl and trace the cutout onto the cowl and cut it out with a Dremel disc and finish with a sanding drum. Repeat the procedure for the muffler.

I just finished mine. No real issues so far. One thing I did was go over all the joining areas in the fuselage and run a bead of epoxy. Mine seemed to not be glued together very well. It may have been just fine but I didn't see a lot of glue around the joints. I am powering mine with a GMS .76. I am going to maiden it using standard servo's but I am going to buy metal gear servo's ASAP. I fly off a grass field which is much too wet to fly off of right now. Will have to wait until the flying field dries out some. Also, I bought the Airtronics RDS8000 and the receiver that goes with it. This will be my 1st 2.4 bird. I have to say though, the 300S is a really nice looking aircraft, i just hope it flies as good as it looks. I currently fly a World Models Clipped Wing Cub, Senior Telemaster, two Kadet Seniorita's one of which is on floats, an Extreme Flight Vanquish and a GWS Formosa. This is kind of my move on up aerobatic airplane. I don't have much desire to fly 3D but would like to be able to fly good solid aerobatics. i also just purchased a Hobby Lobby F-86. My 1st EDF.

To get a very close cowl fit. First take off the cyl head.Loosen all the bolts 1/4 turn at a time until they are all loose and remove the head, do not lose the head gasket. Get some card board like a file folder or construction paper. cut a piece about four or five inches long and two and a half inches wide . Tape it on the fuselage behind where the cowl will screw on and so it covers the cylinder. Take a sharpie pen and outline the cyl onto the paper. Trim out this hole so it fits the way you want it to over the cyl. Then slide your cowl on to where you will screw it on and trace the hole of your cyl onto the cowl. You can do this for anything that protrudes out side the cowl. (The same goes for finding where to drill holes for attaching the cowl.) Make sure before you cut to have the cowl positioned over your crankshaft so its even all the way around. Take your time measure three times cut once. It really helps if you have a dremel with a grinding point. After your cowl is fitting perfectly. Reinstall your cyl head. Make sure you torque it to the same value as what you removed. Tighten all bolts in small increments in a criss cross pattern. The biggest thing here is to make sure you don't over tighten one bolt more than another. Good luck and take your time.

I won mine at a club meeting raffle. Nice plane, I put an OS 1.08 in mine, I know tons of power but I had it. Had to put battery all the way in the back but it balanced with no extra lead. Used a Hayes 8oz tank instead of stock. I ordered a set of carbon gear that will be a little taller and a bit wider stance. I too have to wait for field to dry up, snow is all gone but too much rain lateley.

Thank you! I did it without taking the head off as well! Billerica, MA is near Merrimack, NH, come on up when it dries out lets see how the 75 AX does versus the 1.08!

I'm glad to see more postings on this plane. I thought I was the only one out there for a while. Keep those posts coming. When I maiden mine, I will certainly put a post in the thread about it so everybody keep in touch.

I think that the big problem that newly introduced companies have to deal with is the way they promote their ARF's.

If you don't provide some good pictures,
let someone review your ARF,
let the manual *escape* online and such things,

then how do you expect to sell ?

I've been in this position myself and i am right now ,
about the Blackhorse T-28 60 size and the Blackhorse P-36A Hawk...

But because there is very little knowledge available online about the P-36A,
i will stick with the T-28.

It's really shame on them...

Here are some more pics of mine. Since these were taken, I relocated the battery into the left wing. Also, I really like these MTI switches that have red, yellow, and green LED's that indicate the battery status. BTW, the reason the wheel pants are red is I dripped CA glue on them and ruined the finish so I had to paint them and I could not find turquoise paint that was close.

I installed my battery right where your receiver is installed. That is where it balances the CG out the best. Is the reason you wound installing your battery in the wing that the plane was not balancing laterally?

Yes, exactly. The OS 75AX and muffler are to the right, so the battery in the wing compensates for that without adding weight.

The os 75ax is too wide to fit in my factory mounts. did you move the mounts, get different ones?

guess i should have done more investigating..... the motor mounts come loose and are free to move enough to let the motor fit into place....oh well, not my first mistake - and i'm sure it won't be my last....

I am on the last stages of assembly on my 300s, but the low/high rates appear to be incorrect in the manual. What control surface dimensions/movements are working for you? Thanks!

I finally maidened mine on Sunday. All went well, I had to trim it a little. I learned that I definitely need to keep the speed up, the tips can stall easily in a slow turn. Also, I was running it rich for break-in, and the whole bottom was coated in oil, so I might use a different silicone exhaust extension. I was flying it at a club with a small field and lots of trees, so I was taking it easy, but I just joined another club with a huge open field. It is a former sod farm. Now I have a 5000 feet long, very wide field, so all I have to look out for is the ground! The club has one unusual rule: No flying alone because it is an emergency runway for Manchester and Concord airports. Hopefully, I won't have to share the field with a full scale dead stick SWA 737!

I went out to break in my motor and I was taxing but the tail wheel is useless, it does nothing! i see it moving but the plane will not turn! is there any way to fix this!

Yes, when taxi-ing, use up elevator to plant the tail wheel.
