Default Tail wondering in idle up

Hello all,
I am trying to set up my Idle up mode. The heli is perfectally trimmed and flys great in normal mode, however when I switch to Idle up the head spead is much higher at idle and the gyro no longer holds the tail straight. I have to hold in right rudder to keep the nose pointed straight. How can I trim out the chopper so it is perfectally trimmed out in both modes during hover?

Sorry about that, DX-6 Specktrum radio, Futaba 401 Gyro and HS-56 servo. Will turning up the gain help at all?

Disconnect the power and turn on the system. The light should flash and then come on steady.

If that works put it in idle up and ensure the light stays on. Let me know if either of the above don't work.

Also ensure that DS mode is OFF on the gyro and that you have some delay dialed in.

I think you are on to something. I noticed that after flying yeasterday in normal mode my Gyro was no longer in heading hold mode. The light was flashing, but heading hold mode was on in Idle up. I was flying at lunchtime and I was in heading hold mode in both modes and the tail was holding fine. There must have been something (fooling with the trim?) that the gyro didn't like and booted me out of heading hold mode. Strange....

I went to a new digital futaba s9650 servo and that took care of my wondering tail, no matter what mode i am in.
