Cox Fledgling?
Just starting to build a large scale model of the Morrisey 2150/Shin 2150/Varga Kachina.
At a scale comp this weekend I picked up the Sept. 66 issue of Aeromodeller magazine
& inside is an ad for Cox Ready-to-fly scale control line models & featured is an illustration
of the PT-19 & what is clearly a Shin 2150 but called the 'Fledgling'.
Anyone know more about it, no luck with Google?
John.

Thanks MJD, I had never heard of that Cox model before.
I even checked the website listing most Cox engines & a few models but nothing there.
Probably called the Fledgling because the Shin was not exactly a well known aircraft.

BTW don't get the impression I'm an expert on these old models.. I'm not, but I am very curious about them. I found this information on Dr. Hepperle`s site (once again) - www.mh-aerotools.de .
A couple of years ago I drove down to a fellow`s place about 70 miles from Manhattan to pick up an engine (Gipsy Major, not mailable..), and discovered to my delight that his study walls were festooned with a huge assortment of Wen Mac and Cox plastic models, some of which I only ever saw in ads and figured they were mystical things I'd never see.
