When I try to download the video I get error unable to download proper decompressor.
My computer is old 350 MHZ, I play many other videos but recently many postings get this error.
Can you post video's in the older format if that is my problem.
Thanks, Dennis

Denis, all I have is MS Movie Maker. It saves the files in the newer MS wmv format. You need to update your windows media player. I think it's at www.windowsmedia.com If that doesn't work, go to www.real.com The new rael player supports the new .wmv movies.

I think (not positive) that George Hicks is getting ready to release his Ultimate as well.

Hi, I have been reading a lot of threads on the performance of these razor motors I see the rz350 is recomended is there any reason I cant use a rz400? For that matter could someone tell me what the difference is? I am new to electrics and I want to build a smaller 3D ship and I would like to get a brushless system I can use on a few different applications. Would the rz400 power this plane with the 3s Etech pack? Thanks!!!

Wow, I didn't even know George was doing an Ultimate. Looks like the GWS EPS300C on the nose. Can't tell the gearing of course. I wish I could fly half as well as George...
Yes, the Razor 400 will work. You just have to gear it at a lower ratio as it's kv (revolutions per volt/per minute) is lower than the 350. I think the "C" gearing would work well.
Looks like an asy way to route the channels. I'll have to try that with my dremmel.
That last video was with the brushless set-up

I was real happy with the dremel trick, it made for a nice and straight, clean groove, and suprisingly made hardly any mess. I figured there would be blue dust everywhere in the garage. Do you think a Pitts or Christian Eagle would be a good "fanfold" plane?? I have a 300C, C geared and would like to build for that. I am going to look online for some pictures.. (Pitts) I may have to get some of that "Pink" fanfold..... A blue Pitts????

Everything is 1/4 inch FLAT...... I saw a wing maker kit on foamfly.com, it looks like you could make a slow stick style wing, but I don't think it would work with this thickness foam. I am not sure.

That wing maker on foamfly.com is for fan fold and works great. However, not a good application for these planes. The airfoil is just a flat plate. Sounds weird, but works great!

Thanks, for the real networks suggestion to work out the video play problem.
Im sure it may work when I get the virus software to let me download it. Just too busy right now.
Thanks again.

After seeing you have soo much fun with that thing. I went and downloaded the plans last night. I have a couple of questions. How did you cut out your patterns. Did you make a template first? What tool did you use to cut? Razor blade?
Thanks,
Santi

I made up two sets of plans, one set as a master, and one as a template. I cut out the foam with a razor blade on a plywood table. I set up a dremel tool to make a groove for the reinforcement rod, I could not find any carbon fiber rod, so I substituted it with a 3/16 dowel. I started out with 5 minute epoxy and found a hot glue gun to work much better, using the low temp setting. I had my first flight with it saturday morning and had only flown Slowstick, E-Starter, and Duskstick before. It is a blast to fly, I just need to get flights longer than 6-8 minutes to get comfortable with what it can do.

Santi - I used some posterboard to make templates. Just use a razor blade or an Xacto to cut the foam. Just make sure the blade is sharp or the foam will tear.

If they don't have the foam, I know a guy that works at a Lowe's in Ky. He can inter-store transfer it to a store near you. Just let me know.

Tim thanks. I will do that if we dont have any here. oh tim while your on line. I was wondering if you can give me a total parts list of what you have on the last video posted. That was unbelievible on how that thing just rockets out of a hover. I was soo amazed that i started laughing
Cant wait to get mine going as it will be a while to get all the parts. Do you think the hitec feather lite receiver will do?
Thanks a bunch
