Default A SPITFIRE FLEW OVER MY HOUSE!!!

Well it is a 90% one (Mk 26) but I still run out and watch it every time it comes over. I have been in it as well. My mate Keith owns it and my three year old daughter calls it "that cheeky Spitfire".
Here is a short vid,

I'll post some more, Keith some times does circles above the house.

Cheers for now,

Brad

Neat,
I have a friend that owns and flies a full scale Jurca replica Spitfire with an Allison V-1710.

Great story !
Once in awhile I will here a rumbling multi engine radial sound, and spot a WW2 bomber going over to line up for the local airport...

a buddy of mine is a flight instructor, he told me he was coming back to the airport the other day ..looked down out of his cockpit, and there was a FW190 on final approach ! He later saw it take off, I am not sure but it might have been on the way back from the big show in Wisconsin..

Sure Brad,
These are from the web, but are good shots of the 100% Jurca-Spitfire, based in Prescott, AZ. It was built and is owned by retired Bonanza/Republic/Northwest Airlines Captain Bob DeFord.
It's an Allison V-1710 powered version, with a re-contoured Hamilton Standard prop from a DC-3, etc. The gear, tailwheel, certain cockpit fixtures, and some other items were new-build replica parts by an artisan in Germany. A buddy that used to fly a Mk. XVI said the gear retract system is a near exact replica of the Supermarine, but with some bigger components that he felt were a safer option than original.
Nice airplane, neat to watch and very convincing.
