Aeroworks .46-.961 Edge Mount problems
Im assembling an Aeroworks Edge .46-.61 with a saito 100. Its seems that The mount is too short right side up due to the webing on the mount, or too narrow when turned over(mount bows out). How did you guys with the saito 100 solve this? Did you use another mount, shave etc? Please help!

RE: Aeroworks .46-.961 Edge Mount problems
Looks like the webing isnt the problem when right side up....its the mounting bolt is up against the carb bolt and keeping the engine from sitting far enough back. Might have to counter-sink the mount bolt about 5mm. Would this present a problem in terms of stength of the engine mount? Using a saito 100.

Or you could buy a Saito engine mount. A bit pricey, but nice, aluminum, drilled and tapped. It also acts as heat sink to reduce engine temps. I had to do this to mount a 125 into my Seagull edge.
good luck!

Heavier than nylon for sure, but not a problem in my case as I still needed to add 3 oz of lead to my firewall to balance the edge.
