Lithium battery analyzer
Is there any type of battery analyzer out there that I can see how my lithium batterys are preforming?
I know how to check the different cells to see if they match and how to equalize them... but I want to see if the cells have been damaged and preform as they would new.
Anyyone know of something that is not too expensive??

RE: Lithium battery analyzer
You can analyze any type battery if you keep records about its discharge characteristics from new. This is a product I'd like to buy. I could keep all the discharge curves for particular packs on my PC.

To use it as an analyzer it doesn't have to use 250 watt discharge. Just use the same amount of discharge current each time and record the results in a discharge graph. When the same discharge current results in 10 to 15 % less timeyour pack is getting tired.

RE: Lithium battery analyzer
Fully charge the pack at 1C then I'd discharge it at 1C. Don't forget Lithium is fully discharged at 3.0 volts per cell any lower and you'll ruin the pack.
The analyzing part comes in with keeping records using the same charge rate and the same discharge rate and looking for the pack not to stay charged as long. Any packs performance whether it is NiCad , NiMh or Lp can be determined the same way. The CBA from West Mountain radio just makes it easier to keep accurate records and it automatically makes the dicharge graphs. It's really a neat piece of equipment. Be sure to mark your packs.

So to analyze my battery would I have to discharge it completely on the machine?
