Default Red Mexican Sanyo battery cells?

Just had a pack made up with what I thought was Sanyo cels. The cells in the pack are red and have "Mexico" stamped on them. There is no indication that these are Sanyo cells(no Sanyo logo marked on them, or any other type of identifier). Anyone know what they are?
Thanks in advance.

The last I heard is that Sanyo assembles some cells in Mexico from plate shipped in from Japan. I would avoid Mexican assembled cells based on experience we had in assembling packs in Mexico from cells manufactured in our USA factory. Of course the Japanese may have "proceedures" to overcome the problems inherent in using Mexican female labor. At one time Mexican males refused to do any work that was being done by females, that may have changed in the past 10 years.
