Default Receivers

I have been wondering about what receivers will work with my futaba radio. I use the R127DF and I am currently building a new plane, and why wouldnt a GWS receiver work that is 4 channel? Like this [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHHR5&P=0]Pico[/link] one?

nevermind, after actually reading more, I found my own answer.

Basically, no cheap way out of getting a receiver.

Hitec receivers are usually 20 to 30.00 cheaper than Futaba. I've not had any problems with the 555 up to the Supreme 8.

Another good source for aftermarket receivers is FMA. Check out www.fmadirect.com for further info. I especially like their smallest usnits as they are good enough for 1/4 scale yet small and light enough for park flyers plus their quality is excellent.

I fly a futaba 9C and a Hitec Prism 7X and use all Hitec receivers. Very happy with them.

Not sure what you mean by "No cheap way out of getting a receiver"?

A GWS rx will work--I am happy with the one on my park flyer. It all depends on the range you need, where you fly, and with how many people you fly with. The noisier the environment, the more likely you are to get a glitch with most single conversion Rx's. I've been up with 3 other fliers in the air and had no problems with mine, though.
